This article will throw light on the somewhat different but extremely useful topic of anger management. Reading this article will help you understand the subject of anger management in detail and thereby help you in the betterment of your life.
Before we discuss the subject of anger management in detail, let us reflect on the words "Burn anger before anger burns you" which have been aptly mentioned in places more than one. Anger is a disease which if let loose plays havoc with the person under its influence, as well to his surrounding. Numerous instances can be cited from history wherein out of uncontrollable anger disasters have been invited.
There is a famous story in which a pet mongoose kills a snake when the latter tries to sneak into the bed of an infant. When the parents of the infant reach home, they see the mongoose with its mouth covered with blood. Assuming that it must have killed their baby, they kill it immediately only to find out the reality later.
This little anecdote tells a lot about what anger has in store for us. It is therefore very important to look into anger management as an important aspect of our lives. This might seem like yet another way of killing time, but when you start reaping its benefits, and then probably you would realize its importance.
Anger paves way to rush of hormones in the human body. During a fist of anger, our body undergoes sudden change in metabolic processes and results in secretion of some hormones. Our eyes redden and the heart is required to pump in more blood than required. Now these are chemical reactions which a layman would not know. But the physical results are quite visible to the subject on which an angry man lets out his anger.
Anger management is no less a science compared to other branches like disaster management, HR management etc. It is now being taken seriously. Scientists in renowned universities are trying to develop ways to effectively teach this science.
Hinduism believes that anger hinders the overall growth of a human being and thus prohibits the soul from uniting with the Omnipotent. Likewise, many other religions claim anger to be the cause of all disaster. That is why it is important for every human being to make anger management a part of his/her life. Doing this would help one fight with anger effectively and thereby leading a happy and peaceful life.
Considering the chaotic situation in our towns and cities, we have no other option left but to start studying this science. The benefits of anger management are too many to be mentioned; they can be understood only when you feel them. On a lighter note, the day is not far when we would have more of degrees which would say “MAM" (read masters in anger management)!
